Whether you’re working toward earning your DVS or have recently completed it, you must follow a few simple steps to obtain your competency certificate and become a FIPOE member. All the documents and information needed to complete your registration are available on this page.

At the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ)

The first step to register as a worker is to visit a CCQ regional office in order to obtain your competency certificate. To register, you must:

The final step to complete your FIPOE membership is to visit one of our regional offices in order to:

  • Complete the FIPOE membership form;

  • Show proof of your competency certificate;

  • Collect your loyalty rewards, including a safety hat, a hoodie and a book about FIPOE’s history;

  • Obtain your membership card as well as your refund for the $100 competency certificate fee paid to the CCQ. You will then be able to register your availability on our labour referral list.

Below are the documents you will need to fill out. At the CCQ’s regional office, you will also be required to provide proof of school attendance (DVS, training certificate, or any other document recognized and accepted by the CCQ).
